Publications

Project leader Arne Ziegler will edit together with the scientific associates Stefanie Edler, Nina Kleczkowski und Georg Oberdorfer the volume Urban Matters. Current Approaches of International Sociolinguistic Research which will be published by John Benjamins in the series "Studies in Language Variation".

In collaboration with Lars Bülow from the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg the scientific associates Ann Kathrin Fischer and Kristina Herbert published 2019 the volume Dimensions of Linguistic Space: Variation - Multilingualism - Conceptualisations which is part of the series "Schriften zur deutschen Sprache in Österreich" of the Peter Lang publishing house. This volume focuses on the use and structure of the German language in Austria. In addition, the aim of the book is to compare the linguistic conditions in Austria with those in other German speaking countries. The volume and all articles can be accessed here.

Project leader Arne Ziegler wrote in collaboration with the other project leaders of the SFB the overview article "The Research Project ‚German in Austria‘. Variation – Contact – Perception" published in the volume Dimensions of Linguistic Space: Variation – Multilingualism – Conceptualisations, edited by Lars Bülow (Salzburg) and the scientific associates Ann Kathrin Fischer and Kristina Herbert (2019).

Scientific associate Ann Kathrin Fischer published in 2019 an article in the volume Dimensions of Linguistic Space: Variation - Multilingualism - Conceptualisations entitled "Zur Dialektwahrnehmung im Passauer Grenzraum. Ergebnisse einer perzeptionslinguistischen Pilotstudie", which relies on the results of her master thesis "Dialektwahrnehmung von linguistischen Laien im Raum Passau“ (2016).

Project leader Arne Ziegler wrote in collaboration with the other project leaders of the SFB the overview article The Special Research Programme „German in Austria (DiÖ). Variation – Contact – Perception“ which was published in 2018 in the journal "Zeitschrift für germanistische Linguistik. Deutsche Sprache in Gegenwart und Geschichte".

Scientific associate Nina Bercko published in 2018 an article in the volume VARIATIONslin­guistik trifft TEXTlinguistik (Europäische Studien zur Textlinguistik 19) entitled "Südmittelbairische Verbalflexion in alltagssprachlicher Verwendung im Stadt-Land-Vergleich".
